Editorial Policy
ConvertWise publishes original, fact-checked guides on currency conversion, units of measure, and personal finance. This page explains the standards we hold ourselves to.
Originality
Every article is written specifically for ConvertWise by a human author on our editorial team. We do not republish content from other sites, spin existing articles, or auto-generate articles from templates. If we ever quote or reference another source, we link to it directly.
Sources We Trust
- The International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) and NIST for unit definitions.
- Central bank publications (ECB, Federal Reserve, Bank of England, CBK) for currency policy context.
- Public mid-market exchange-rate APIs for live currency data.
- Peer-reviewed finance textbooks for formula derivations (compound interest, amortization, present value).
Fact-Checking
Before publication, every numerical claim, formula, and worked example is checked against a primary source. Currency-rate examples are clearly framed as illustrative — live rates always override them inside our calculators.
Updates & Revisions
We revisit each guide at least once every twelve months, or sooner when underlying data, regulations, or conversion standards change. When we make a substantive edit we update the "Published" date shown at the top of the article.
Corrections
Spotted an error? Email hello@convertwise.lovable.app or use our contact form. We aim to verify and correct genuine errors within two business days, and we add a brief correction note at the bottom of the article when the change is material.
Advertising & Independence
We accept display advertising (e.g. Google AdSense) and may in future include clearly labeled affiliate links to money-transfer services. Advertisers have no input into editorial content. Our recommendations, formulas, and exchange-rate sources are identical whether ads load or not.
No Financial Advice
ConvertWise publishes educational content. Nothing on the site is personal financial, legal, or investment advice — please consult a qualified professional before making decisions that affect your money.
